The Texas Pension Review Board (PRB) is committed to making its website accessible to all users. The PRB strives to meet the recommendations set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the standards in 1 Texas Administrative Code Section 206.50.
In order to meet this commitment, the PRB works diligently to incorporate several features that are designed to improve accessibility for users with disabilities. Some of these features are described below:
- Images on the site contain “alt tags” with descriptions of the image, which aid users who listen to the contents of the site by using screen reading software.
- Text transcripts accompany audio clips of meetings.
- Non-HTML files are accompanied by links where users may download the latest free readers and viewers.
- Site testing with authoring software and other web accessibility tools to ensure the functionality of PRB efforts.
The PRB is currently working to ensure that our older webpages and applications are also made accessible. If visitors who use assistive technology are unable to access information on our website due to the format of any material, please contact the PRB accessibility coordinator through our Contact Page or by calling (512) 463-1736 and the PRB will attempt to provide an alternative method to access the information. To enable the PRB to respond effectively, please indicate:
- the nature of the accessibility problem
- the preferred format in which to receive the material
- the web address of the requested material
- your contact information
Please visit the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities for additional information about accessibility programs in Texas.
